Meetings and Events page on the webpage needs some adjusting. At present the date shown is when the information was posted, rather than the date of the event, which is confusing. Future postings will be posted in a way to so as to avoid this confusion.

Yvette spoke to the group regarding her role at BCC and the understanding of Governance in Buckinghamshire and the partnership with BASG.

Yvette expressed how important she felt governance is.

BASG is an independent organization and it is essential for BASG to maintain a strategic overview.

Networking groups across the authority provide information which can feed into BASG providing the voice of governance.

Discussion took place regarding governor champions and the importance of this role and how it would need to be implemented.

The group thanked Yvette for attending the meeting and giving of her time.

BASG are aware that as of 1 January 2020 a PSVAR (Public Service Vehicle Accessibility Regulations) enforcement came into place nationally.  This means that every vehicle carrying 22 or more paying passengers on a scheduled route would have to have wheelchair accessibility.

Obviously this is of concern.

Local Transport providers are following up.
